01: How to Register for Transit Benefits
Purpose: To provide a step-by-step guide on how to register for Transit Benefits or Bike2Work Benefits.
Audience: HHS Employees
In order to apply for Transit Benefits, you must first register to access the GOVGO! Portal. Verify that you meet the criteria and click on the "Register" button.
Enter your "Last Name", "First Name" and "Middle Name" then click on the "Search" button.
An asterisk (*) can be used as a wildcard in the Last, First, and/or Middle name. For example, entering "J*" as the "First Name" criteria returns all first names starting with the letter "J". Add more letters and complete more fields to narrow down your search.
Note: If this does not work, remove your middle name and try again.
Search for Yourself
Locate your name on the employee list and click on the "Select" button next to your name.
Verify your identity by entering your "HHS ID" and clicking on the "Send Email" button.
Your "HHS ID" is located on the back of your HHS card.
Note: If the email address listed is invalid, you will be unable to complete registration. Contact the Transit Program Office to update your email address. Please also inform your badging office, to avoid any future issues.
Email Confirmation and Account Activation
You will receive a registration email. Click on the registration link provided to complete the registration process.
Note: The link will only be valid for one day (24 hours.)
